Well, here we are in October.......one of my favorite months. The leaves are turning colors, pumpkins are everywhere, and once in while we get a beautiful cold sunny fall day. The farmers market season is over for the year, and wow....what a long season it was. Dan and I had a crazy summer, keeping up with jobs and working the market every Saturday. I had a hard time trying to stay on top of the painting. It was wonderful to sell a bunch of paintings on a Saturday, but it was hard to try to make more for the next week. All in all we had a great time, and the Farmers Market was just what we needed after moving to a new town. We meet wonderful local people, made some new friends, and feel like we found a piece of the heart in this community.
Now that it is over, we have time to relax. I am looking forward to some lazy weekend days where we can all hang out in our jammies, drink some hot chocolate, and watch old James Bond movies. (I always wanted to be 007, maybe in my next life.) I have been doing a lot of self-reflecting as far as what kind of art I want to produce. This winter I plan on trying to "find myself" through my paintings. Hmmm.....guess we will have to wait and see what happens.
