A Salsa Tree and an Update

May Update....and ramblings!

Got a few paintings done yesterday, and thought I would take a breath and get you up to date on what has been going on around here lately.  Things this past month have been so busy.  I have this horrible habit of cram-packing every minute of our life.  I have come to the realization that I must like to go....and go....and go!  I took a peek at our calendar, and it is overwhelming!  You only live once so you might as well do as much as you can right?

Everyone in the house has had a cold.  I finally got it a few days ago and have been whining like a baby ever since.

This past weekend was our first farmers market of the season.  We had a wonderful time catching up with our market friends.  I missed everyone so much over the winter.  I just love our little Anacortes Farmers Market.  I was excited to see that there are going to be some new vendors this season too!  The weather was sunny, we sold some paintings and meet some awesome people.  I was a little disappointed in myself though.  I had a few goals that I wanted to accomplish before the season began that I never achieved.  For starters, I really wanted to get a big sign for my market tent, but am having some computer challenges.  :(  I also thought I would have more cards and prints made as well.

Earlier in the month we "rocked" a Cinco De Mayo Party with some friends here at the house!  Dan has been working on his home brew skills and we all enjoyed some beer tasting!  Who knew he could actually make a good home brew??? Hee! Hee!  I CANNOT believe how much food we had here at the house, it was unbelievable!  We have meet so many great people this past year in Anacortes.

All of us here at the house are on countdown until school gets out!  I am so sick and tired of packing lunches, getting the kids up for school and homework!  (I am whining I know!)  Only a few more weeks left until SUMMER VACATION!  YAHOO!

Dan (otherwise know as the fat boy who ate the last cookie) and I signed up for a 200 mile relay race a few months ago.  The race in July, so needless to say, every evening we are out running, running, and yep....more running.  I am pretty nervous about the whole thing.  I am not a "real runner" I just like to play one on TV.  I really hope we don't embarrass our team with our measly 12 minute miles!  I signed up for the race as a goal for myself.  I am turning 40 in two years, and I would like to look back later in life and be amazed that I did something like this!  As for Dan, I still think he is in shock that I have signed him up! :)

I finished up a few commissioned paintings this month.  Stay tuned for the photos.

As for the month of June???  Our schedule looks worse than May!  Yikes!  I had better go put another pot of coffee on.......
